While playing block games with my daughter, I told her that our body is also made up of building blocks called proteins. She was surprised at this, and her nonstop questions also raised my curiosity to know more about proteins. Being from a non-science background, I needed to learn about these proteins, so when I dug deeper to understand what they are and why they are considered essential nutrients for children's growth, I came across some interesting facts.

Can You Imagine A World Without Books ?
It is so weird to imagine it; what could be the replacement for the book, and how information and emotions pass on from generation to generation? But today, let us look at the scenario and see all sorts of what-if perspectives in case of no books.
Firstly, a world without books would be vastly different, with consequential implications for knowledge, culture, education, and how we share information.
1. Loss of Knowledge Preservation:
Books have been a primary means of preserving knowledge and information for centuries. Without books, much of humanity's accumulated knowledge would be at risk of being lost or forgotten.
2. Limited Access to Information:
The power of books lies in their ability to spread knowledge to all, regardless of their access to technology or other resources. By doing so, they have helped promote democracy and make information more accessible to everyone. Only few learned who have access to attain knowledge would be more powerful.

Book Review: Sorcery of the Senses by Tanima Das
The five sense organs of our body constantly guide us throughout our life for a purpose that sometimes we fail to understand. The book Sorcery Of The Senses by Tanima Das uniquely portrays this ideology.
Book Cover:
The cover is simple, highlighting the title at the center. The backdrop shows the caricature of a lady with a bow and an arrow.
The Plot:
The story starts with the introduction of the central character, Dhruv, who is juggling to settle things in his not-so-good married life with Juthika. He keeps visiting his parents house in Raukipur in search of peace that would at least revive his last bit of will to live.
The parental house brings more surprises than he ever thought of. He opens an old trunk in the store room, thinking that his childhood belongings would bring him some solace. He meets Drishti, the sense of vision, and Sparsha, the sense of touch. They took Dhruv in his past life when he was a woman with supervision and the miraculous healing power of a touch, respectively.
Both senses explain to him that he is here to fulfill a mission left unsolved in his past lives. Will Dhruv listen to his feelings, or will his senses betray him in the present life, too? It is worth the read.

How Surprise Someone Builds Future with Recycled Paper
Do we ever have a count on how many papers are used in our writing or how many trees are cut to make 10 copies? Though the world is going digital day by day yet many activities require paper. Creating a paper without deforestation is one of the best possible ways. In our recent #EnvironmentalTalks with Pinky Maheshwari we came to know various aspects of papermaking and the art of customizing. Let us share with you about the organization and the founders of Surprise Someone and interview insights with Pinky Maheshwari.
It creates paper from the waste rags and cotton and not from paper, plus the papers have seeds planted in it so when these papers are discarded a sapling grows into a plant; by this, the enterprise is not only contributing towards the environment but also creating a business model that is sustainable for years and years.
To conserve the environment and reduce deforestation this enterprise is making a wave of change and showing the path to many aspiring entrepreneurs. This enterprise gives livelihood to many rural people, and it also received an excellence award in an innovative product category. It is in the list of best 50 Start-up India at the India International Trade Fair in 2017. To train 10,000 girls to be self-sufficient and educate them this enterprise has a bright vision for the future generation.

True Relationship - Micro Fiction
“You did it, I shall inform mother”, Tanu in assertive tone
“Do you think they will trust you”, Ruhi reverted ironically.
“You outsider, why you act as owner of the house. My wish, I will do what I like”, Ruhi picked up the pouch again.
“You may not consider me as elder sister but I do consider you as my younger one”, spoke Tanu holding her tears.
“Poor adopted girl!”, Ruhi said these three words again.
“She is my daughter and owns each right", mother patted Tanu while snatching the drug pouch from Ruhi.
That day, Tanu’s life changed forever.

How and Why to celebrate festivals in an eco-friendly manner
The festive season is here, and so it marks the beginning of the positivity, laughter, and loads of preparations in the house begins. Many feel the buzzword of eco-friendly products starts as soon as the festive season embarks but the reality is the environment-friendly products are around the year only now, we focus on them.
Most of us understand the importance of eco-friendly products or habits that can help the environment to retain mother nature but many times fail to reach the right channel. It is a proven fact that collective effort at a single time brings in the change, and that is the reason it is pleaded again and again by the environmentalist to make the wise decision during festivals. Mother Teresa aptly explained the scenario in the brilliant quote “None of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful”.
