Book Review : Along came a Spyder by Apeksha Rao

A story of a super spy teenager who is not afraid to dare anything which comes across her. This fiction series has in it all - the thrill, suspense, and action.  Let us see what more the book offers to the young and adult readers.

Book Title & Book Cover

Along came a SPYDER

The cover of the book portrays the lead character of the book. The caricature has a striking resemblance to the author's facial features. Overall a simple, and bright cover gives an idea about what's inside the story.

The Spyder Plot:

Samira Joshi, a 17-year-old teenager wants to pursue her career as a spy and dares to face any situation. Well, she has all this inherited from her grandmother and her parents. Her parents, Ranjit and Alka Joshi are uber-patriotic, smart, brave, and ruthless working as elite intelligence agents for RAW.

Samira had a very different upbringing, in childhood, she was asked to solve anagrams and numeric codes. By the time she was 5 she could speak eight different languages and was trained in counter-surveillance measures. She was provided with special Krav Maga training.

Samira had all the skills to become a good spy. One fine day to save her friend from a pimp she follows her only to reach a place she always dreamt to be a part of, The SPYDER Organization. This teen spies group are super energetic and well versed to accomplish any mission.

But, was Samira competent enough for that? What is this organization all about? Is she afraid of something? Why her parent's decision of choosing a different career option made her go nuts?

Well, it would be great to know the answers while you read the book.

Through my binoculars:

• Along came a SPYDER is the first part of the SPYDER Series by the author Apeksha Rao.

• The book is a pleasure to read keeping the vocabulary simple and relatable.

• Life of a spy is full of dangerous turns, and most of the time filled with life-threatening experiences. The portrayal of such situations is expressed brilliantly in the book.

• The story at the same pace through-out the book kept me hooked till the end.

• However, the book managed to express a nail-biting climax very well.

• The surprises in the book are taken care of in a very innovative way.

Tingling conclusion:

The author Apeksha Rao has come up with a very different storyline of teen spies who are well versed to resolve any complicated mission with ease. This wonderful SPYDER series will leave your nerves tingling for sure. It will be liked by all who love thrill and detective storyline.
