How to Stay Calm & Win over anxiety


Energy flow of body and the energy flow of universe if matched then one attains serenity. I have read these lines in a devotional book that makes me believe that one should gather calmness to stay in tune with universe.

In a rush to complete many tasks in little frame of time with many distractions beside, we tend to loose calm attitude. And by doing so sometimes we mess up with our work or sometimes the tasks are done half heartedly and sometimes without your perfection level. And later we realize that we could not stay calm in situations and the result is not as expected.

Deep down we all want to be calm in every stressful situation and act wisely. But does calmness come on its own or its inherited? So how does one attain calmness and peaceful attitude in crisis situations? Not losing our temperament and maintaining a calm demeanor comes with constant exercise. Practicing in a proper way can imbibe in us the beauty of peacefulness. So lets follow these 5 guidelines to stay calm.


1.     Choose a corner or a place: 

You can choose a corner of the room brightly lit with natural sunlight or a place in house that is quiet and no one else disturbs you. This you can call your quiet spot or calmness spot. Most important is keep your gadgets away from this place because you need to place an important thing in this corner. Lets see what it is in next pointer.

2.     Place a figurine: Keep a figurine that sparkles calmness and happiness. A Buddha figurine is a perfect choice as its hue itself spreads calmness and divinity all around. The lessons of self-control and focused attitude are what the figurine imbibes within us. Place the idol in such a position that you can see it properly. Peaceful environment makes you think logically and practically and Buddha, Ganesha idols have a natural aura that makes one calm in just few minutes.

3.     Sit and focus: Once you are done selecting a place just gives a few minutes to focus on the ways, which needs more attention. Sit in relaxed mood and look at idol in complete peaceful manner leaving all your worries. Think deep, the cause of your stress. Is that materialistic thing or an emotional connecting? Asking yourself few questions you will get answers.  

4.     Talk in solitude: This may seem a bit difficult but we do it most of the times unknowingly that we keep taking to self. This self-speaking raises many questions in mind and also our brain and heart answers many. Yes, you know yourself best and you can comeup with answers and solutions to your queries if you are in peaceful aura. You will be surprised that all stress leaves you in few minutes and you are back to start your day with positive energy.

5.     Get up with peaceful smile: Now you got answers to all your pointers and you know your plan of action, next most important thing is to SMILE. A smile is a cure to all the problems around, so make a habit to smile always.
    
These are not the only ways to stay calm and peaceful in life, one can do it in many other ways. These steps give me a calmness and focus in life.   1. I prefer taking solitude in such situations coz otherwise u end up speaking without thinking and spoil relationships. .so it's better to let things calm down and then speak up

  5. Good pointers. My idea of staying calm is to speak up in solitude OR listen to the soothing music OR just go out alone on a walk in the lap of the nature. Sometimes all you need is some freshness and Mother Nature offers it in abundance.
