नारी तू इतनी ज़िद्दी क्यों हैं ?

कितनी बार गिरती फिसलती है ,

ढलती है फिर उठ खड़ी हो जाती है | 

कोई सोच, कोई सीमा तुझे रोक क्यों नहीं पाती है,

कोई ऐसी मंज़िल नहीं जहाँ तू पहुंच नहीं पाती है | 

नारी तू इतनी ज़िद्दी क्यों है?

सारा बोझ अपने कन्धों पर लेके आगे बढ़ती जाती है ,

जितने पड़ाव आते , उनको पार कर जाती है | 

सारा जग तुझे कभी प्रेरित करता तो कभी तिरस्कार ,

कोई टिपण्णी कोई खबर तुझे नहीं भटका पाती  | 

नारी तू इतनी ज़िद्दी क्यों है ?

सन्नाटे में शोर : परिवर्तन :: Roar in Silence : A Change

There is a need for a CHANGE, a positive change of our mindsets and attitudes. We all need to look forward to a change that makes a person the real HUMAN. We all need to roar for a change not only when such inhuman acts happen but also to work towards the change continuously. Why we all need reminders to act on positive change when such inhuman acts take place, and then there is utter silence until such acts happen again. 

This below Hindi poetry encourages us to roar for justice even when there is silence after indecent actions.  

आज जिस बात पर इतना शोर है , 

कल यही पर सन्नाटा होगा | 

आज प्रश्न हुए है उजागर कई ,

जवाब कब मिलेगा यह पता नहीं | 

हाहाकार मचा चारों ओर आज ,

कल यही ख़ामोशी का बजेगा साज़ | 

फिर सन्नाटा छा जायेगा सभी पे ,

जब तक एक चीख़ उठे नहीं किसी कोने में | 

Be Bold for Change - Poetry on #WomensDay

We were never silent;

voices were made transient.

ready for responsibilities;

Are you ready to share from her kitty.

Born bold without any hitch;

why many compare and stay in fix.

We are and will be as heart says;

be ready for bold change that essays.

Advices and conditions are plenty;

Rules and regulations are petty.

Girl grows courageously into woman;

Is society ready to see fearless woman.

Change is important in mindset;

Attire and degrees is just a crescent. 

Acceptance of her identity is critical,

Its the need of hour and essential.

Style Of My Own

“This post is my expression of style for the ‘A Style Of My Own’ blogger contest by Women’s Web and Trishla emart“ 

I am a free soul,

ready to mould.

In a dress and gown,

as I have style of my own.

Mix n match,

is my ultimate catch.

Adds newness with style,

when carried with a perfect smile.

Many outfits in my wardrobe,

and colors of my clothes.

Just change according to season,

I grab them with a reason.

Garments are made to enhance,

overdoing is not my stance.

I dress up to reflect my persona,

with elegance and pure aroma.

Chilling in jeans and tee,

with friends happiness at peak.

Formals wait for me at work,

Punctuality is what it locks.

Family time spent leisurely,

dress up in pyjama’s casually.

All are mine and known,

nothing to prove or to be shown.

Festivals has its importance,

clothes add its own vibrance.

Today I am traditional in town,

as I own style and crown.

Carry your attitude intact,

march ahead with a perfect start.

Brands in outfit is not the worry,

inner confidence makes them blurry.

Don’t dress to be on throne,

& never bother if dress is clone.

Add a charm to your gown,

as you have style of your own.

Finally, I say only one thing,

which will make you think.

Style of each one is unique,

with self-confidence at its peak.

#Laundry ≠ #Women

Ria and Vivek, recently married and started their new phase of life. They had big mission of setting up their home, arranging things as they had to head back to their respective jobs soon as they had taken a lot of vacations for marriage rituals and for long planned holiday trip.

Ria and Vivek two love birds

started their journey undeterred.

Bounded with an invisible strings

embracing every challenge that clings.

With love they crept in their abode

to set off their life with a loving note.

Surely it was time to assemble lot of things

arranging all to make life swing.

Ria and Vivek making task list

                  

Soon it got difficult to decide

thought each work to divide

Soon they started to enlist

core areas they short list.

Both sat with a paper pen

jotted down work ten-ten

All major tasks were covered

one thing was not discovered.

Vivek shrugging off the responsibility

Soon they agreed with each other

commenced their tasks with great fervor

Room by room things started to shape

no single minute they let escape.

Ria was quick at making decisions

Vivek too did things with precision

finishing the work both sat and sighed

patted each other for the decisions right.

              

Ria thinking about laundry

Ria suddenly got up in despair

Said to Vivek,“we have one more thing to share

a major task is still left over

but we both can surely cover.”

Vivek smiled with surprise,

“What is left on my side?

I am done with my responsibility

there is no such possibility."

Who will take up LAUNDRY job?

“Laundry is what I am talking about,

Said Ria with a doubt,

this task we both forgot to list down

there are lot many clothes around."

Said Vivek “It’s not that I forgot,

Laundry is by default your part

Washing, drying, and ironing…uff!

this is not my kind of stuff."

Question raised

Listening and looking at them quietly,

Asha tai stammered coyly,

“I want to say something child

from my experiences which are gild.”

“Sir is right in a way,

Said their maid in dismay,

no one helps for this work

washing clothes gives a knee jerk.”

Shouted Ria, “I wonder you telling that

being a wife of a washer man.

Mostly men opt this profession

then what is left for discrimination. 

There is no work today woman can’t do

in every field we have equal ado

then why don’t men give a try                 

with a Laundry basket beside.”

Ariel makes clothes shining as moon

In future men shall definitely ask

why laundry was not our task

as now it’s effortless with Ariel

Laundry is now easy and fun in real."

This fiction story of Ria and Vivek is actually a true story of every household, where woman are being defaulted with this task. I feel it should not be by default woman equals Woman, Ariel raised this question #IsLaundaryOnlyWomanJob, to which this post is our answer and #Laundry ≠ #Women.

Journey from OR to AND : Sunita Ramnathkar

Today women have evolved a lot and have spread their aura in all walks of life. They not only stand as a pillar of strength for their family but also play a great role in their respective work place. Brigham Young Says, “You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.” Woman is powerful, lovable, Smart, Sensual, Caring, Giving, Tolerant, strong at heart, emotional, responsible and the list goes on in the virtue of them. Women are an inherent part of our society; set to rock the world though their shoulders are burdened with unsaid responsibilities. Every woman always keeps their spirit high as sunshine, no matter what the circumstances are.

A better managing quality is one of the main reasons that women are able to play myriad roles thus breaking the myth of OR in their life where they have to choose among the family or the career. Women can definitely handle personal AND professional tasks with ease, as they are gifted with the power of “AND”.

One such woman who is my inspiration is Sunita Ramnathkar, Founder of Fem Care Pharma. I have read a lot about her and in some way her success mantra touches my heart. She had a well-settled luxurious life, but the itch to do something more and not settling with a housewife tag only she moved ahead in life to explore another part. AND the zeal to achieve something in life was her main driving force.

Sunita Ramnathkar showed the world the power of Indian market, which was a boon to all the women. The Fem fairness bleach turned out to be the best product till date. She is wife, a mother, an entrepreneur, a manager and what not. Justifying all her duties and responsibilities moved ahead to fulfill her dream.

Most dreams of a women are just being buried deep behind fulfilling the duties of family, now it’s time to overcome and show the world that we can embrace the AND in our life like Sunita Ramnathkar.
