Mysterious Deed

“Where do you go every alternate full moon day?” Joe questioned Shanon.

“We had a pact that you will never ask about it”. Shanon replied and left to complete another historian project leaving Joe puzzled.

Not this time thought Joe and quietly followed her. He could see Shanon hastily entering an abandoned out-house door and chewing a strange fruit.

Summer died that night.

Nothing was same in her house; each of her belongings were now placed in the garden for the people to see the last time. They were now flying to The International Peace Museum to mark a beginning of a golden journey. The journey Julia always dreamt for.

Rituals-Perspective Matters

“Why are we here Grandma", Atul curiously questioned looking up at hanging candles.
“It was a ritual to tie the ribbons and lit the candles when someone was freed from bonded labor. It was a mark of happy beginning”, replied Grandma.

“This is all deep buried in pages of history Grandma, now what’s the use of this ritual as now it's modern era with much freedom”, asked Atul in perplexed tone.

Forgive & Grow

Glad to cross a milestone of 200th post and 50,000 footfalls :)

Prem entered Rahul’s residence for final good-bye as he felt they are no more on friendship terms.

“So you still like the calmness of greenery, I thought you have changed your preferences”, said Prem in complaint tone to Rahul who was gazing from kitchen window.
“I have always the same priorities Prem, though our meetings were not fruitful due to tense circumstances” and I am not vengeful as you were told by mediators.

Rahul’s gestures touched Prem, he understood that their decades of friendship could not be broken by limited savage incidents.

Prem hugged Rahul and whispered “I got my friend back, though after few bitter incidents but it’s still okay”.

Let's welcome the coming year with a heart free from all sorts of conflicts.

Missed Connection

This story has won a WOW badge from Blogadda for topic Missed Connection

Keshav was crawling hastily to reach end of the cable tunnel, he paused when surprisingly heard a voice saying “ponder again of your whole deed, will it give you peace”.
Source - Friday Fictioneers
He looked around the aloof tunnel, shut his temporary good side thinking it is utter nonsense and missed connection with inner self.

He then searched bag he robbed at the railway station.

Bag contained few pictures, documents and timeworn laptop.

He was shocked to see his father’s visiting card in the bag; he was disgusted to feel that he missed connection again.

Literacy Blossoms

Namita and team was in town for social mission,
to fulfill a purpose of child’s education.

Often she remembers family and whimpered lonely,
but was brave and docile to handle situations calmly.

Affection and care from town made her strong and concentrated,
and their team’s motive ‘education for all’ was soon inflicted.

Spring arrives in town where children’s life blossoms with literacy,
to end numerous troubles plus worries and to imbibe learning legacy.
Returning back from mission Namita never imagined,
that it would be a memorable experience and never forgotten.

The Majestic Blue

“Why you lay abandoned here”, questioned sea to the dull boat.

Abandoned Gloomy Boat-Source
“I am parked here as I can’t face voracious waves”, clarified boat.

“So will you stay here forever” quizzed sea; to which gloomy boat responded, “What else I can do?”

Do you wish to know “What is it that I really want to say?” sea asked and then proceeded after boat’s nod, “You need to be adaptable with situations, be brave and undergo changes if required; there shall be wear and tear in such cases, but surely you will learn and earn through this”.

Boat sailed away from shore….
