Read the 24th part story of Round 3 here "The Past Revealed"

Cyrus holding the Jennifer diary tightly close to his heart and felt the pain Jenny had gone through.  A series of event flashed in front of his eyes, the sea was calm and one could hear only waves sound, but Cyrus heard Jennifer plead to the ladies.

Tears dropped from his eyes for her; but the question that remained intact through out the process was how could Jenny go so far. Everything went blank for Cyrus, he could not feel the breeze, and the night seemed quiet than never before. Sitting in balcony on a cane chair Cyrus slept after seeing the sunrise, thinking still there is hope after each dark night.

Cyrus woke up listening to ring tone of his phone, rubbing his eyes; he took out phone from his pajamas and looked at it, Tara’s name was flashing.

Clearing his throat Cyrus picked the call “Hello Tara”. Tara with a relief said “You both are okay? When are you guys returning?”
“We are returning today Tara, no need to worry we are safe”, Cyrus calmed Tara.
“OK, come safely and be vigilant Cyrus”, Tara ordered like an elder sister.

Cyrus understood Tara’s concern and couldn’t resist and said “Tara, I need to tell you something really important”.

“Yes, Cyrus tell me, what happened”, Tara assured Cyrus; there was a knock on the door and Cyrus hanged the phone saying “I shall tell you Tara once I reach Delhi”.

************************************

Cyrus opened the door and saw Jenny standing with a tray of coffee mugs, smilingly greeted “Good Morning Cyrus”.

Cyrus for a moment forgot everything while gazing at Jenny’s attractive face and after few seconds resumed back the conversation and answered, “Morning Jenny, please come”.

Jenny looked at the single bed that lay in that room, and noticed it was intact, blanket folded and pillow in it’s correct position. She questioned Cyrus “Didn’t you sleep yesterday Cyrus?”

I did sleep Jenny, actually little late, nice coffee Jenny” Cyrus tried to avoid any conversation about the diary.

Actually Jenny was also hesitant to start any discussion over the diary and reminded Cyrus that in few hours they need to leave for airport.

************************************

In Delhi, Aryan was tracking down on the Professor Paresh case, asked his team to track the call details of Paresh so that they can get the lead. Aryan gets the call from his junior the SUV KL_______, was crossed at Connaught Place check post. The cctv footage shows a well dressed person driving, and it doesn’t seem as driver, you can have a look sir. Aryan heads to the control room to have a look at the person, as SUV was the main lead in this case.

************************************

Cyrus and Jenny board the flight to Delhi. After the flight takes off Cyrus holds Jenny’s hand and said, “I could understand Jenny what you went through, but you went too far dear”.

Jenny tears rolled out and she thought now is the time to unfold the story completely. Jenny started explaining that in first few meetings with Lallan were in bar.
Jenny continued, “When I met him I was completely drunk and told him each and everything that’s written in diary, or maybe more.”

In next meeting Lallan made me completely trust him, and I like fool trusted him, Initially the favors were photographs of girls but later on that turned into girl trafficking.
Jenny broke out, to which Cyrus could only console him, but still he never wanted Jenny to get so cruel to take someone life.

Jenny slept on his shoulder, and Cy also caught a quick nap, as he was also tired.

************************************

As soon as flight landed the first thing Cy wanted was to visit Tara, as she is the only person with whom he could talk his heart out.

“Hey Cy! Here is the way out for the taxi, what happened? Jenny asked though she knew how much her past has disturbed him.

“Jennifer I’ll drop you at your hotel and I will leave for a urgent work to finish.” Cyrus lied to Jenny.

After Jenny got down from the taxi, Cyrus holding her hand and said “I completely understand you Jenny, now only you need to do is trust me”.

Jenny smiled and with a great relief conveyed with a nod that she trusted Cyrus more than ever.

As the taxi geared up after leaving Jennifer, Cyrus called Tara and in a hush voice said, “Tara, there is something very important I need to tell you and I have an important evidence to show. Please come down stairs in the room next to study, so that we both can have a talk.”

Tara just replied, “Ok Cyrus, I am waiting”.

“Hi Cyrus how are you. You look pale dear. Is everything fine?” Tara enquired.

Cyrus broke down seeing Tara. Tara got a glass of water for Cyrus and pulled a chair for him to sit and asked him to relax. She could understand that something vital must have occurred.

Cyrus after regaining his self, took out the diary from the bag, and showed to Tara and narrated the whole incidents written in it and her cruel past.

“The girl is not worthy Cyrus”, Tara angrily looked at Cyrus though knowing what he felt for Jenny.

“I know she went far, but Lallan is the one who committed the crime”, Cyrus defended Jenny, his love.

“What are you up to Cyrus? After finding out so much, how can you still believe a girl like Jenny? Cyrus its time to act”, angrily Tara went near the window to have a better look at the diary as only one light was in working condition.

Tara frowned and murmured this diary is not that old.

************************************

Jennifer opens the room and the moment she switch on the light, she receives a call. This was a call from Lallan; she picked the call hurriedly.

“You are acting too smart”, Lallan shouted

Jennifer calmed him down by saying “Relax Lallan, this was more important”,.

“Vanishing for a day, and that too with crook Cyrus”, Lallan was furious over her and asked “Is work done?”

“Yes! I did it. Handed diary to him, now he will be studying that diary as he was busy studying his files”, Jenny laughed with a grin.

Past Diaries Open Up

Team : Maximus Dramaticus

Read the Thirteenth part Blood is red so is blush

Paresh opened his eyes with feeble cries of pain in his temple, which was unbearable, saw bright reflection and felt that his wrong deeds had made his way to death.

The beeps of the medical instrument was only to be heard and he lay in the bed helpless with no one beside him and thought, “I am now reviled by the person to whom I helped to lead, Ahh! Damn you come in front you coward”.

His evil soul was constantly pricking him saying , “Prof Paresh you are a criminal; Yes! a dirty mind. See you are my slave now, nobody is with you Paresh, just no one;Ha..ha ha”. Paresh screamed in despair and went unconscious.

**********************************

Lallan nervously calls from his hideout, “Work accomplished and no proof left. Yes! I am very sure about that, no doubt”, where on other side of call there was a sigh of relief.

**********************************

Cyrus was tensed and worried for Jennifer and her unanswered calls made him even jittery. Past days were so unpredictable thought Cyrus and decided to visit Jennifer in wee hours. Chill breeze of January made Cyrus shiver; he zipped his jacket, put on the hood and started walking towards Jennifer’s hotel that was few miles away.

A lot of thoughts ran through his keen mind uncountable questions rose in past few days made him analyze each person from depth, but somehow he connected all events with Shekhar. He always kept his list of to do things with him. Forensic report details shocked him and was desperate to share it with Tara, as she was the one Cyrus trusted most.

He was so indulged in his thoughts that he couldn't realize that he already reached the hotel. He quickly crumpled the paper and reached out at the doorbell.

**********************************

Jennifer who was so engrossed in blog that after reading each post she told to herself “Cyrus is quite different person than I know”. Laying back she clicked on the post titled “Purity of love…”, but soon her laptop went off due to low battery.

“Little break from Chupa Rustam Cyrus” smiled Jennifer and started looking for charger in her bag, plugging charger she now felt the hunger, which was diminished in surfing the blog.

Taking the menu in hand, deciding what she could order at midnight, doorbell rang. Being over cautious from past event (kidnapping) Jennifer peeped in to key hole and saw Cyrus standing rubbing his palms, trying to keep himself warm.  Jennifer opened the door saying “Oho! The man with versatile talent is right here”.

Cyrus for a moment stared at Jenny, who was looking gorgeous in magenta Puma jacket and black lowers, and could not resist complementing, said “Jenny you are looking like a lotus in a pond”.

“Thank you Cy, come on in, I am about to order snacks, will you have it” Jennifer asked looking at menu.

“First you answer me, Why you did not pick my calls”, Cyrus authortively questioned.

“Oh Cy, wait for a moment”, Jenny calmed him and ordered sandwiches and coffee at reception.

Cyrus who was waiting for her answer stood impatiently thinking what made Jenny so busy and looked around for a chair to sit.

“So Mr.Writer, I was busy reading a blog” Jennifer turned to Cyrus after keeping the receiver down.

Jenny calling him writer, Cyrus was sure that she has found his blog said “Oh, that! It is just few words here and there”

“Only words, and what about pictures”, quizzed Jenny.

“Which pictures are you talking about”? Cyrus tried answer confidently; praying that Jenny would have not read all the posts.

“These one, Look. And how come you have my childhood images” Jenny called Cyrus to take a look at his laptop.

“So you don’t remember Jenny, when and where it was taken”, quickly asked Cyrus.

“No. I don’t”, Jenny answered trying to recollect.

“See here in left, it’s me. It was taken in Ladhak, where our fathers were posted for a year, and we resided in same colony” Cyrus revealed

Jenny amazingly looked at the child in picture and at Cyrus, again and again and said, “You have changed a lot Cyrus Daruwala how chubby you were then and now so lean”.

**********************************

Tara completed reading few documents turned to see Roohi unhappily siting with her paintbrush in hand and gazing at her painting.

“Roohi you didn’t sleep yet, it’s late. C’mon keep your painting stuff aside and lie down” Tara said her while keeping all files in order.

“Mamma, why are we not in Mumbai” Roohi muttered

“What are you saying dear, be little louder”, tiredly Tara responded.

Roohi started crying saying “I want to go back to my home, where everyone was so happy, where I was not scolded for playing hide and seek. Let’s go Mamma”.

Soothing her Tara replied “We shall very soon go Roohi, once the puzzle is solved, we shall leave”.

“Which puzzle you are solving mamma, I am good at puzzles too, May I help you”, innocent Roohi thought of helping her perplexed mother.

“Thank you my little princess, Mamma shall solve it”, keeping Roohi’s painting kit aside and unfolding the quilt Tara assured Roohi “Soon we will be flying for home, but first go to sleep”.

Thinking now a professional shall solve this mysterious puzzle, Tara dialed a number, and the screen flashed “Dialing Painting Sir Aryan”.

As the phone was ringing on other side, Tara mused “How she was glad to meet an honest officer in one of her outdoor assignments, who was brave at heart and extremely intelligent Aryan Ahuja, who was now residing as a neighbor. Very few knew he was under cover cop, and Tara was one of them, due to professional commitments she never even whispered to anyone.

After many rings Tara heard, “Hello Ms Tara” from the other end of call.

Old Deeds Come Alive

Team : Maximus Dramaticus

Please read the previous part "I Warned You!" for better clarity.

Jennifer entered a coffee shop; looking as stunning as a star in her favorite leather jacket and navy blue jeans, which made everyone’s eyes turn to have a glimpse of the dusky beauty. She looked for a corner to sit, took out her phone, which was continuously ringing.

“Cy I can’t talk to you now” she muttered and muted it. Ordered a latte Cappuccino then looked around for the one for whom she promised to meet once in Delhi. When she was going through the pictures in her Sony Alpha A58 Digital DSLR camera, a voice disturbed her.

“You, still possess this culprit camera”.
She turned to see, and sighed and replied, “Yes I still do, it’s my hobby and I earn through this”.

"Oh! Beautiful lady, you don’t need to work so hard for money, join me I assure you will earn a year income in a month."

"Cut the crap, and come to the point", Jennifer furiously said.

*************************************************************

Cyrus in his study, was unable to link all the clues, he was working on and wished some how Professor postpone the deadline. But he remembered Professor wordings, “cases are lives, that cannot be postponed”. To start afresh he looked for all his files and miffed to find few missing from his drawer.

 *************************************************************

Roohi excitedly asks her father ,“Papa, mamma will be so happy to see us. I will show her all my drawings and will tell her everything in school…”
Shekhar passed a smile and hid his anxiety from Roohi as he was tensed about Tara and her case involvement with Cyrus.

As the cab stopped, Tara was waiting in the huge dusty balcony, which had not much strength in it; seeing the cab coming she sighed with respite. Seeing her mother on the balcony, Roohi took her hand out to wave at her but hit a nearby vendor, as this lane of Chuna Mandi was quite narrow.

“Roohi keep our hands in”, Shekhar fumed.
"Ok Papa, but can you see Mamma is standing there", Roohi tried to point out to Tara

Shekhar was relieved to see Tara smiling.

Roohi jumped out of the car, smashed the door with a bang, and rushed to hug her mother. Her ponytails dangled as she ran towards Tara.
“Mom I missed you a lot”, she was whispering endearments and repeatedly kissing her mom as she met her after a long time.

“Ohoo! Stop dear let me see you first, my rolly polly baby mama also missed you dear.”
Roohi looked really cute cladded in a pink frill lace frock with her Barbie bag.

“So much you packed for yourself, we are not on a long vacation Roohi.”

“ You know mamma I can’t imagine without myself without all these”.

Tara hugged Shekhar, and she was relived that her strength of pillar had arrived and she suddenly felt more secure and confident to solve 'The Cyrus case'.

********************************************************

“Your order madam latte Cappuccino”, and placed the glass on the table.

“You will do what I ask you to. I am here just to remind you that you have only few days left to finish your task”, Lallan ordered Jenny in heavy voice.
“You can’t use me this way Lallan”, Jenny retorted.

“Do it or else you will repent for your inaction; before me it will be you can who'll be behind the bars. I think you forgot the past haan!”

A message flickered on Lallan’s mobile and he escaped within no time.

Jennifer in a hush came out feeling low and with tremor in her eyes thinking what to do next. The steering wheel of car gave a judder and stopped. She was about a mile away from the house at Chuna mandi. Her hands and feet felt numb as she walked towards the house. Her camera lay barren hung around her neck, why on earth I ever met a man like him.

Jenny being a professional photographer worked on many different assignments and agencies. That was a great day for Jenny she was selected for a fashion shoot of famous films stars; it was a lavish party after the photo shoot in a famous restaurant bar in east Delhi, The Candle.

Most famous personalities were present in the party. It was in that party Lallan noticed Jenny and was mesmerized by her charming beauty. He introduced himself to Jenny as a fashion photographer.

*******************************************************

Roohi started stating all events in house, school and park. She continuously talked to seek Tara’s attention and asked, “Are you listening mamma”, to which Tara smiled “Yes dear”.

“Mamma I broke a glass yesterday, by mistake she added effectively. And attended Darshini’s birthday and wore my favorite party frock.”

"Which? the yellow one. No mom that was my favorite, but now light pink gown is my favorite."

"Ok, so your favorites are also changing, I hope I am still your team member when we play Xbox game."

"Of course! Mamma".
"And I Received an A+ in card making competition and lost many painting brushes."

To which Tara exclaimed and questioned Roohi about the lost painting brushes, she was about to answer when Shekhar entered the room and asked Roohi “Don’t you want to see hiding locations before we play hide and seek here”.

“Yes dad! I want to .“ Roohi jumped off and ran out.

Shekhar took Tara’s palm and caressed it; Tara took a deep breath and told him about the stuff she found from the locked room.

“You entered the locked room of house”, shouted Shekhar and was about to question her, Cyrus entered the room to greet Shekhar.

*************************************************************

“Hey Jenny!! Why didn’t you call me up again? Come on up fast” Cy called out just shrugging off the dust from his hands.

The gorgeous looking brown eyes wanted to explain something to Cy but couldn’t.

Roohi stumbled upon Jenny, as hurriedly she wanted to hide. Who is she Cy? Is someone there inside?

“Oh !cmon dear we can surely find some  way out. I am not going to back out from it now I am just waiting for the forensic reports to come” said Tara with a squeak of shine in her eyes.

Jenny entered the room with Roohi; she could see Tara and a person whose back was facing Jenny.

“Glad to see you Jenny meet my Husband Shekhar Dutta and my apple of eye Roohi”, Tara introduced Jennifer to Shekhar.

Jenny exclaimed in shock, ”You Dutta, Shekhar Dutta.”
