Mask of Quietness : Poetry

Mask of silence - MeenalSonal

I don't wanna listen,
And don't wanna brighten.
Just wanna be quiet,
Listening to Inner Ocean.

Never wish to hurt someone,
By dropping sense while drunk.
Want to be calm and silent,
As words of anger could be blunt.

I’m not being lethargic,
Just heeding soul music.
There’s surely an answer,
A prayer that will conquer.

Often silence could be a partner,
An everlasting pal round the corner.
Have heap of topics to hear and share,
Also slowly soothes away despair.
Loudness is all-around,
Scorches ears with high sound.
Just along with my quietness,
I see the world again with brightness.

Do you wear such masks of Quietness?
Does such act gives you peace within or you feel the urge to say something?

A Pact with Hygiene - Swachh Bharat

“I will not let anyone to walk through my mind with their dirty feet”-quote by Mahatma Gandhi has lot to say. Pure heart and mind with positive approach is certainly strong enough to drive away negativity and can always welcome new constructive changes.
Mahatma Gandhi words left a significant impact on us are so much alive in our hearts. He always taught to start doing things without wasting time and set an example for others, and mentioned “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”. He did what others thought and said while others were thinking; his thoughts brought a change in our country.

The campaign:
In view of bringing cleanliness part of nation, “Swachh Bharat” campaign was started on 2nd October 2014, birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Swachh means purity in all essence and aspects. “A clean mind maketh a clean environment.”
Whenever we visit foreign countries we are awestruck by their clean surroundings and we too keep very much care and follow the rules. But usually returning to our motherland we don’t do that.

What is that which is stopping us? Ever pondered?
So what needs to be done on primary basis?
My Swachh Agenda:

Right Attitude:
Firstly, it’s not that hard to change and bring in cleanliness. According to me we need to zero in a change in our mindset with immediate effect. Our thought process needs renovation; leading to a better way of living. A positive approach towards every small thing is the key to unlock big doors towards cleaner & hygienic India.

Our Home:
Secondly, we usually care for the things we own or possess and take care but we don’t even care for our surroundings, national monuments, heritage of country. Why not we respect all the places we visit. Consider all the places as you own it, then one may never make it filthy. “अपना मानोगे तभी स्वच्छ बनाओगे"Consider nation as your own to make it clean and hygienic as one does for home.

Our steering wheel:
Schools are being made part of these campaigns as habits developed in childhood are there for entire life.  Children are becoming icon in their house and neighborhood by teaching and educating the importance of sanitation and hygiene. The young brigade can surely make the difference by guiding their elders to a right direction.

Time to Act:
It time to act now, time to teach by putting things into action. If we want others to follow it is our duty to perform and set an example. For instance we can educate people about the necessity of sanitation and working with them to reach the goal. A small leap could be a chain reaction resulting in myriads of leaps .

Brighten our Hope:
A change could be slow and less reflective in the beginning, but if we have hope then surely we may reach out to our objective giving our future generations a better place to live as, “The future depends on what you do today.”Mahatma Gandhi

The trendsetter:
Many nation icons are part of this movement to set an example for general public. Amitabh Bachhan, nation’s icon of Bollywood and world recognized actor is associated with this campaign, so let’s be part of a team which is surely going to win in course of time.
One should never give up as the beginning of anything new is bit tough but slowly the fruits of it ripen to sweeten our life, so keep contributing your bit. Dettol along with NDTV is spreading awareness about sanitation and Swatchh Bharat. For more information about this, please visit http://swachhindia.ndtv.com/  .It’s time to get united and make a permanent change in each citizen’s life with sanitation and cleanliness being part of their routine; for which Robert Collier very aptly quoted that ”Success is the sum of all small efforts, repeated day in and day out.”

Real Winner

Here goes my ball” Anaya screamed moving her wheelchair forward.

“Well done! You made it to the goal” cheered Roderick.

“I am tough to compete with” her eyes sparkled with merriment.

“A smiling face is more precious” thought Roderick, national football player.

Perfect Look

Rahul and Dia recently shifted in a two-bed room flat in a society in East Delhi, as Rahul’s new job bought them from Pune, where they had spent three years.

As the truck was about to reach in a day or two, they both were staying with just a few essentials. They were getting accustomed with their nearby area and gathering information of neighborhood. Dia stopped at nearby shops to take their contact numbers assuring a smooth stay. After dining in at a fast food center, they both returned tired and exhausted, made the bed and within a minute dozed off.

Next morning, Dia woke up and screamed looking at the time in her mobile, “Oh! God, we are late”. Rahul got up hearing her scream and asked, “What happened dear?” rubbing his eyes.

Get up fast, or else you would be late on the first day of your job, Dia’s words rang a bell in Rahul’s sleeping mind. He almost rushed to bathroom and asked Dia to help her by taking out the best suit for him. And within no time he came out in astonishment, saying “water is too cold and too less in the bucket”, which would finish as we both brush our teeth.

“Why water is not coming”, confused Rahul reached to the neighbor’s door, there he came to know that water supply timings are early in the morning, and they missed it completely while having a sleep and next water supply timings are in evening.

Confused and perplexed Rahul stated all facts to Dia. Dia assuring him and keeping calm said, we need to look for other options, take a deep breath Rahul, you will reach your office in time with your perfect look.

Dia composed herself and looked around and saw 4 packed drinking bottles in her bag. She happily said Rahul; you can use them to get ready. “These won’t be sufficient to take bath”, Rahul replied disheartening. “You need not take bath to look presentable Rahul, but shaving is more vital to give you perfect grooming look", saying this Dia handed Rahul Gillette shaving kit.

Look Perfect- Aura-of-thoughts

Rahul nodded in agreement and was soon clean-shaven and wore best suit to meet his colleagues and bosses on first day of office. Dia wished him good luck by parting a kiss on clean-shaven cheeks.
