Blogging may begin as a personal space, but over time, it becomes something much more shared and meaningful.
When we look back at our journey, it is quite surprising how friendships in blogging do not really begin in the usual way. There are no formal introductions or planned meetings; instead, it all starts very simply by reading someone’s post, leaving a thoughtful comment, and then noticing that they come back to read yours.
That is how it begins.
Over time, certain names start to feel familiar. You begin to recognize their writing style, their thoughts, their journey and slowly, without even realizing it, a connection starts to build. It is not loud or instant, but it is steady and genuine.
There is also a certain comfort in knowing that someone out there understands this journey; the excitement of publishing a post, the hesitation before hitting publish, the joy of receiving a comment, and even the silence when a post does not get the response you expected. These are emotions only a fellow blogger truly understands, and that shared experience quietly brings people closer.
At AuraOfThoughts, this is exactly how many of our blogging friendships began through words, and through simply showing up for each other’s work.
How Blogging Friendships Flourish and Become a Source of Learning
As time passes, these connections grow into something far more meaningful. What may have started as a simple exchange of comments gradually becomes a space of support, encouragement and genuine care and certainly a checkpoint for many. Even though we may not have met many of these bloggers in person, the digital space has a way of turning these connections into something that feels very real.
In fact, for us, many of these fellow bloggers have become like a second family; people we look forward to hearing from, people whose work we admire, people who value our thoughts and people we can turn to, even if it is just through a comment or a shared post.
What makes these friendships even more special is the learning that comes along with them. You may not always realize it immediately, but over time, you start picking up so much just by being part of this circle. You learn how others approach their writing, how they stay consistent, how they engage with their audience, how they maintain their blog and how they evolve through their journey.
In many ways, bloggers become mentors to each other, not through formal guidance but through their actions and their work There have been moments in our journey when we felt stuck or unsure, and it was often the presence of this blogging circle; a kind comment, an encouraging word, or even just seeing others continue- that helped us move forward.
These friendships are not built on competition, but on mutual respect and shared growth. They remind you that you are not alone in this journey, and that there are people walking alongside you, learning and growing just like you are. And perhaps that is what makes the blogosphere so special.
