6 Ways to be part of SWACHH BHARAT Campaign

“I will not let anyone to walk through my mind with their dirty feet”quote by Mahatma Gandhi has a lot to convey. On 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, we are in the nation that was built with tons of hard work & sacrifices of many people.

Pure heart and mind with positive approach is certainly strong enough to drive away negativity and can always welcome new constructive changes. Mahatma Gandhi's words left a significant impact on us are so much alive in our hearts. He always taught to start doing things without wasting time and set an example for others, and mentioned, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”He did what others thought and said while others were thinking; his thoughts brought a change in our country.

In view of bringing cleanliness part of nation, “Swachh Bharat” campaign was started on 2nd October 2014, birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Let us explore more about the campaign and how this will benefit our nation.

What is Swachh Bharat Campaign?

Swachh means 'purity' in all essence and aspects. It is a drive

initiated by Indian Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, to fulfill a long desired dream of Gandhi Ji to see India clean and Green. It is a drive which focuses on garbage management, Sanitation and self cleanliness.

The message is very clearly conveyed to all the citizens of the country by a very inspiring slogan "A step towards clean India". It clearly conveys to contribute every single bit towards building a nation where every citizen enjoys equal privilege and healthy lifestyle.

How can we be part of the Swachh Bharat Campaign?

“A clean mind maketh a clean environment.”
Whenever we visit foreign countries we are awestruck by their clean surroundings and we too keep very much care and follow the rules. But usually returning to our motherland we don’t do that.

What is that which is stopping us? Ever pondered?
So what needs to be done on primary basis?

Here are 6 ways in which you can be part of Swachh Bharat campaign and do your contribution towards nation.

1. Be part of Swachh Bharat campaign with Right Attitude:

Firstly, it’s not that hard to change and bring in cleanliness. According to me we need to zero in a change in our mindset with immediate effect. Our thought process needs renovation; leading to a better way of living. A positive approach towards every small thing is the key to unlock big doors towards cleaner & hygienic India.

2. Start with you Home/Society

Secondly, we usually care for the things we own or possess and take care but we don’t even care for our surroundings, national monuments, and heritage of country. Why not we respect all the places we visit. Consider all the places as you own it, then one may never make it filthy. अपना मानोगे तभी स्वच्छ बनाओगे" Consider nation as your own to make it clean and hygienic as one does for home.

3. Involve Children in this campaign - Our steering wheel

Schools are being made part of these campaigns as habits developed in childhood are there for entire life.  Children are becoming icon in their house and neighborhood by teaching and educating the importance of sanitation and hygiene. The young brigade can surely make the difference by guiding their elders to a right direction.

4. Need of an hour -Time to Act:

It time to act now, time to teach by putting things into action. If we want others to follow it is our duty to perform and set an example. For instance we can educate people about the necessity of sanitation and working with them to reach the goal. A small leap could be a chain reaction resulting in myriads of leaps.

5. Motivate fellow residents & friends - Brightens Hope for the campaign

A change could be slow and less reflective in the beginning, but if we have hope then surely we may reach out to our objective giving our future generations a better place to live as, “The future depends on what you do today.”― Mahatma Gandhi

6. Become Swachh Bharat ambassador – Become the trendsetter:

Many nation icons are part of this movement to set an example for general public. Amitabh Bachhan, nation’s icon of Bollywood and world recognized actor is associated with this campaign, so let’s be part of a team, which is surely going to win in course of time. One should never give up as the beginning of anything new is bit tough but slowly the fruits of it ripen to sweeten our life, so keep contributing your bit. It’s time to get united and make a permanent change in each citizen’s life with sanitation and cleanliness being part of their routine; for which Robert Collier very aptly quoted that ”Success is the sum of all small efforts, repeated day in and day out.”
