I thank Blogchatter to send me this copy of the book in Book Review Program, and I am happy to share with you all honest detailed review of the book. In the age of politics in every section of society this book comes with a witty take on it.
Book Cover: The cover looks amazing which has
the round parliament building at the back drop and caricature of many great
political personalities & other people involved in the job in a colorful
attire are portrayed each doing their own business.
Title: The title of the book is very creative which clearly depicts the melodrama that takes places inside the two houses of the parliament.
About the author:
Meghnad S. is a columnist, public policy professional, podcaster and YouTube creator. He is very active in social media influencer and also worked with members of Parliament across party lines for seven years as a public policy analyst and research aide.

Plot: Raghav Marathe, son of Arnav Marathe dislikes to be known through his father's identity, is a
a person who loves to create buzz among the people through his twitter account @Arnavinator. Prabhu Srikar wins the election from his constituency and is elected as an MP for the very first time. Raghav helps Srikar in writing down all his speeches during the rallies and finally land up in the round building as Srikars PA. Both Raghav and Srikar totally novice about the in’s and outs of the parliament try to make a different place by opposing their own party bills.
Best voted:
·
The
duo's topsy turvy life among the other political party members is worth
reading. In this journey they face many challenges and learn that politics and
ideology does not go hand in hand.
·
Another
interesting character is of journalist Nikita Gohil who works for Daily Plug
online magazine keeps digging deep down many important events.
·
Both
Raghav and Nikita try their best to oppose the social security Bill and to
spread awareness among the people about its ill effects.
·
It is
interesting to read whether they succeed or will they fall trap of the system?
·
Will
Raghav ever know about his fathers past? This question keeps the reader
intrigued till the end.
Thump on the table:
·
The
author very well explained the parliament sessions in a very simple language.
·
The
writer showed his twitter love by assigning hashtags to titles of each chapter.
·
The
events in the parliament described in this book were real but were cleverly
guarded by a pinch of fiction.
·
The
footnotes of each chapter were witty and added value to the characters.
Final word:
This book was a boundless read and it is good that the author kept it to the point. Lovely portrayals of characters make this book stand out. It is for one and all that want to taste the bittersweet politics. Hope to read another book by author on same lines.
